After his performance in the cult show “Wetten,dass..?” 14-year-old Felix from Großweikersdorf in Lower Austria will give a presentation in the large sports lounge in Lower Austria next year.
14-year-old Felix Mayr from Großweikersdorf in the Tulln district thrilled an audience of millions with his TV appearance in the cult show “Wetten, dass..?”. Due to a disease that shortens the tendons in his legs, the young compatriot is in a wheelchair. He demonstrated impressively in the TV program that he does not let this slow him down. Doing a handstand on a skateboard, he tossed candies into bottles with the rim of his helmet as he rode by.
Visit to the office
Felix narrowly won the children’s bet, but won the hearts of the audience. That is why he is now being put in the spotlight on the home stage – thanks to FPÖ state leader Udo Landbauer. As is known, the politician, who is not only responsible for traffic but also for the sports agenda, invited the 14-year-old to his office this week, including a Christmas present. Landbauer quickly made Felix moderator of the large Lower Austrian sports lounge in 2024.
“With humor, determination and incredible dedication, his performance was definitely the highlight of the show. All of Lower Austria is proud of Felix Mayr, who has impressively shown what is possible with willpower, ambition and courage. For this, the young man deserves our highest recognition and respect,” said Landbauer,
