The Vienna police are currently looking for a suspect who allegedly tried to rape a 26-year-old woman on her way home in early December.
The incident took place on the night of December 9 in Ameisgasse in Penzing. The victim was on her way home when she was suddenly pushed down by the unknown man and punched in the face. She suffered a broken jaw. Shortly afterwards the suspect fled.

The victim immediately alerted the police and her boyfriend. But since then there has been no trace of the suspect. Further investigation and interviews revealed that, according to the police, it was an attempted rape.
