In Austria, 2935 new corona infections have been reported in the past 24 hours (from 9.30 am on Wednesday). A week ago, there were 4,322 new cases. Twelve other people infected with the virus died. Hospital numbers fell.
So far there are 4,240,295 positive test results in Austria. As of today (May 25, 9.30am), 18,619 people with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died and 4,181,437 have recovered across Austria. The number of patients in the normal wards fell by 34 and in the intensive care wards by 13. 44 corona patients currently require intensive medical care.
