Police dog found him – sad certainty: missing person in Tyrol is dead

Terrible news came on Thursday from the Tyrolean Reith near Seefeld, where a 35-year-old German has been missing since December 13. After searches were initially unsuccessful, a police dog found the man’s body in the morning.

Around 9 a.m. the assistance dog came across the deceased during another search in Reith near Seefeld. The body was discovered lying in the snow in a shed in the Krinz district of Reither. According to police, an exact cause of death had not yet been determined on Thursday, but foul play was ruled out. The Innsbruck Public Prosecutor’s Office has ordered an autopsy.

Missing for over a week
The missing person had been missing in Seefeld for over a week. He left a city center bar on December 13 and had not been seen since. The police assumed it was an accident and started several searches for the German. At the request of relatives, researchers also published a photo of the missing person.
