Altnatura and Dennree are recalling the popular dried goji berries in pack sizes of 100g and 250g for safety reasons.
The reason for the recall of the small berries is the detection of salmonella. When consuming the products, symptoms such as diarrhea, headache and abdominal pain, general malaise and sometimes vomiting cannot be excluded. At Dennree, the 100 gram and 250 gram packages are being withdrawn from sale, both with the best before date (BBD) from March 28, 2024 to July 21, 2024.
As a precaution, Altnatura is also recalling its goji berries with an expiration date of July 4, 2024 to October 22, 2024, because salmonella was found in a sample. The goods have already been withdrawn from sale.
Don’t eat berries anymore!
The following applies to both products: Packages with the indicated expiration date can be returned to the relevant branches, where replacements are available. The expiration date is printed on the side of the packaging
Salmonella can cause gastrointestinal diseases. Customers who have Alnatura or Dennree goji berries with the above expiration dates can no longer consume them as a precaution.
