London police have arrested a second suspect over a dismantled stop sign featuring an alleged work by artist Banksy. The man, approximately 40 to 50 years old, was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of theft and criminal damage.
It is unclear who the men were and why they dismantled the stop sign.
The researchers said they were aware of the video material, which has now been shared on social networks (see video above). The board called on witnesses to come forward with information.
At the stop sign were three planes that looked like drones. Photos of the work were uploaded to Banksy’s official Instagram account on Friday. This is how the Brit usually announces his authorship.
Sign against the use of drones
Banksy initially did not provide a title for the stop sign photos. It was considered possible that the artist was opposed to the use of drones to specifically kill people.
The US is accused of using ‘Predator’ drones to kill suspected terrorists.
