Nowadays, anyone who buys a top-class smartphone often pays a four-figure sum for it. But is that necessary? The PC giant Lenovo wants to provide evidence to the contrary and has recently launched a 350 euro device in its range from its mobile phone subsidiary Motorola, in which you can find a striking number of upper-class virtues – but only paid a fraction for it.

350 euros, that is almost an opportunity in the current smartphone market. Especially because Lenovo packs a lot into the package with the new Edge 40 Neo for this price. The housing is waterproof, there is a sharp and clear OLED display with 144 (!) Hertz refresh rate and finger scanner, an optically stabilized 50 megapixel camera, fast charging and sufficient memory. Only the main processor is initially suspect…
