On Monday evening, a dispute between two young people in Vienna-Meidling escalated completely. The reason: a 14-year-old was too interested in his 19-year-old friend’s ‘ex’.
According to police spokeswoman Julia Schick, the argument escalated shortly after midnight in a park not far from the Längenfeldgasse metro station. The 19-year-old showed the 14-year-old a gun in his waistband and threatened to kill him.
Multiple threatening calls
The 14-year-old then fled the park and a short time later received several phone calls from the suspect in which the 19-year-old threatened to kill him. The teenager had had enough, he contacted the police and arranged a meeting with the suspect.
WEGA arrived
Before the meeting took place, WEGA was already waiting for the 19-year-old and arrested him on suspicion of dangerous threats. A temporary weapons ban was also issued against him. He denied all allegations.
