Nighttime ignition in Neumarkt im Mühlkreis (Upper Austria): Unknown people set fire to a large pile of wood. The perpetrators were able to escape as unknown people and eventually four fire brigades were able to extinguish the flames. The investigation is ongoing.
On Wednesday at 3:23 a.m., a police patrol was sent to Trosselsdorf, municipality of Neumarkt im Mühlkreis, because a pile of wood was reportedly burning right next to the L1467.
Possible arson
When they arrived on site, the fire had already been extinguished by the four alarmed fire brigades. The only possible cause of the fire was arson, as there were no technical causes of the fire.
There is currently no information about the perpetrator. The amount of damaged firewood is about four cubic meters. The extent of the damage is not yet known and no one was in danger from the fire.
