Also children and teenagers – Four people have been injured in serious skiing accidents in Tyrol

Date:

The rush of holidaymakers to the ski slopes is already clearly noticeable in Tyrol: Several people were injured in accidents in the lowlands on Wednesday, including a little girl (7) and two teenagers. A woman fell about 100 meters.

Two young skiers were injured in an accident in Westendorf on Wednesday. A 16-year-old resident collided with a seven-year-old German girl who was part of a ski school group on the blue-marked Windau piste at around 10:40 in the morning. Both fell and slid about 70 meters down the slope. While the boy escaped with minor injuries, the girl suffered serious injuries to her lower leg, according to police. After initial care from the emergency doctor, the helicopter flew her to the hospital in Kufstein.

14 year old seriously injured in the shoulder
A little later there is another crash in the Tyrolean lowlands, this time in the Alpbachtal-Wildschönau ski area. There, a 14-year-old German girl from the municipality of Auffach went over the edge of the slope at the bottom of red piste number 8 and fell. The teenager rolled over several times before coming to a stop after about 20 meters on flatter ground. She had seriously injured her shoulder and was therefore flown to the hospital in Kufstein by emergency helicopter.

German fell 100 meters
A third skiing accident in the Zillertal also ended in hospital, this time for a 56-year-old. The German fell on a black slope in the Penken ski area in Schwendau around 10.20 am and slid over the edge. In the open space, the 56-year-old then fell about 100 meters, rolling over several times before she was left injured. The snow rescue service provided first aid. She was then rescued with rope and flown to hospital in Schwaz.
