A car drove into a crowd in the English city of Sheffield. A 46-year-old man was killed and several were injured. Riots had broken out before.
The emergency services were informed by an emergency call about the violence and unrest in the city, which has around 585,000 inhabitants, the police in South Yorkshire said on Wednesday evening.

Two arrests
Police have arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of murder, the statement said. In addition, a 55-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
The police are now conducting door-to-door interrogations. She also promised to speak to anyone who has information or concerns. All residents in the area who have a surveillance camera are asked to report.
