That could have ended in disaster! A 32-year-old woman got behind the wheel completely drunk in Graz, while her three-year-old son was in the back seat. The mother caused an accident. Fortunately, the child was unharmed.
The spectacular accident happened on Saturday evening around 6:45 pm in the Wetzelsdorf district of Graz: a car rolled into the middle of the road and three other vehicles were damaged.
Alarmed police officers found a 32-year-old driver and her three-year-old son in the backseat in the wreckage. While the mother suffered minor injuries, the child fortunately escaped uninjured.
Woman heavily drunk
A breath test on the mother showed a value that was much too high: “She should not have driven the vehicle at that time under any circumstances,” the police reported.
The accident driver and her son were taken to the LKH Graz Surgery and then to the pediatric surgery. The woman is being charged with “endangering physical safety” – she could not provide details about what happened.
