On the second day of the new year, the Tyrolean emergency services already had their hands full, as numerous accidents occurred on the Tyrolean ski slopes. Some collisions resulted in hit-and-runs, and police are now asking for your help.

A collision occurred around lunchtime on Tuesday in the ski area “Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser – Brisental”: a German skier (46) and a German skier (47) collided shortly before the access area of ​​the valley station of the “Kummererbahn”. Chairlift: both fell. The 46-year-old suffered serious pelvic injuries and had to be flown to hospital by emergency helicopter. The second person involved was also injured, but was able to drive into the valley under his own power.

Looking for witnesses
Same day, almost the same time, different location: In the Hochzillertal ski area, a German skier (62) collided with a previously unknown skier on the so-called “Z-Weg”. She also suffered pelvic injuries. After the second party initially stopped and provided first aid, he then left the scene of the accident without revealing his details. It was apparently an English-speaking man, about 180 cm tall. He was wearing a blue/white ski jacket and a helmet. Witnesses or persons providing information are requested to contact the Strass i police station. Z. to report.

Hit and run to Glungezer
A collision also took place on the slopes in the Glungezer ski area: a local man (58) ran over his skis, causing him to fall. The unknown man brought the 58-year-old’s skis with him, but then left the scene of the accident without revealing his details. The injured person received first aid from the pister rescue team and was eventually taken to hospital by ambulance. The unknown person was probably between 15 and 16 years old and was wearing a green ski suit. Witnesses or persons providing information are requested to contact the PI Hall in Tyrol.

Snowboarder escapes
Another snowboarder ran over the board of a snowboarder (18) in the Sölden/Gaislachkogel ski area, causing her to fall and injure herself. The second person involved immediately left the scene of the accident. The woman received first aid and was rescued by the snow rescue team.
