Unknown people have attacked a Viennese police car! A burning object was placed in the wheel arch of the vehicle parked in front of a police station. Officials were able to extinguish the flames immediately. The investigation is now underway.
Around 10:30 am on Tuesday, a witness reported that the car parked in front of the police station on Billrothstrasse was on fire. The police were able to extinguish the fire using a hand fire extinguisher.
Fire investigators from the Vienna State Criminal Investigation Department took over the investigation. It soon became clear that a burning object had been placed in the wheel arch.
Due to the damage caused, the police vehicle had to be towed away. An unknown perpetrator is being investigated on suspicion of serious material damage.
