A fatal accident involving a tractor occurred in Lower Austria on Wednesday afternoon. In the tragic accident, the driver left the road, crashed into a brothel shortly afterwards and died in hospital a short time later.
The Wilhelmsburg Volunteer Fire Department was called to the scene shortly after 1 p.m. Due to a flat tire, the tractor left the road and crashed into the wall of a brothel.
Lenker died in hospital
The driver was taken to hospital after emergency medical treatment. However, he died shortly afterwards from his serious injuries.
Difficult recovery
The road had to be closed for several hours during the operation. Salvaging the tractor was difficult. The St. Pölten-Stadt fire brigade also had to respond to remove the vehicle from the road with a truck crane.
Because the semi-trailer was also loaded with bales of grass, it first had to be unloaded by another tractor. The road was only reopened after five hours.
