A 26-year-old tobogganer was injured when she accidentally descended the ski slope at Semmering in Lower Austria.
The Viennese left on Thursday evening. However, she may have accidentally taken the ski slope instead of the toboggan run. According to police reports, she left the slope for an unknown reason and fell into an adjacent forest.
Unconscious next to the track
Since the 26-year-old did not arrive in the valley, her friends started the search. Members of the Semmering mountain rescue service eventually found the victim unconscious next to the slope. She suffered injuries of undetermined nature and was flown by rescue helicopter to St. Pölten University Hospital.
