A 15-year-old caused more than 100,000 euros in damage in months. Above all, he fell into a trap during a legal competition.
Walls, bus stops or traffic signs: nothing was spared from an initially unknown painter in the Purkersdorf district of St. Pölten. The vandal left graffiti texts such as ‘Rone’, ‘Fuwa’ or the number 23. Since September last year, a total of 42 reports have been received by the police and the total damage is said to be in the six-figure euros.
The investigation had already expanded to Vienna and Innsbruck, where similar graffiti had been reported before the perpetrator was caught during the action at a school in the Neulengbach area.
A sign could legally be decorated with graffiti. A 15-year-old took part – and immortalized himself with one of his writings. A report has been filed and further investigation is underway.
