On Thursday evening, a 17-year-old moped rider in Styria collided with a car and was seriously injured. The driver fled and is now wanted by police.
The accident happened around 9.35 pm near St. Peter am Ottersbach: the 17-year-old was on his moped when he collided with a car at an intersection of the L203. A neighbor heard the crash and immediately alerted emergency services.
He then went to the scene of the accident, where he gave first aid to the seriously injured moped driver until rescue arrived and took the victim to the Graz Regional Hospital. At that moment there was no trace of the driver, because he had fled in the direction of St. Peter am Ottersbach.
Police ask for information
Police are investigating the driver and are calling for the public’s help. According to the police, the car you are looking for must have suffered significant frontal damage as a result of the accident.

Just one night earlier, an even more tragic drive-through accident had occurred in Vorau: a 26-year-old hit a 16-year-old pedestrian with her car, fatally wounding him and running away. She turned herself in to the police many hours later.
