There was a fire in a Vorsäß hut in Egg on Sunday afternoon. Firefighters had to go to the remote cabin on snowmobiles.
Difficult mission for the Florianis on Sunday afternoon in the Bregenzerwald in Egg. A Vorsäßhütte caught fire in the Schwendetobel region. The flames spread quickly through the building. Because the hut is located in the forest and there is no road leading to it, emergency services had to come to the hut with snowmobiles and a quad bike.
When they got there, they discovered that the hut was already completely on fire. The fire brigade rescued a cat and a rabbit from the flames, but fortunately no one was injured. The hut is located close to the Schetteregg ski area and is occupied by three ski area employees. The fire brigade managed to prevent the flames from spreading to the surrounding forest.
