A snowboarder (32) was at the KitzSki ski area on Saturday – and also visited the umbrella bar. He then went off the slope and fell about 200 meters into a ditch from where he could no longer work his way back to the slope on his own, police said.
Refused any medical care
His friend returned to the bar with umbrellas and informed the innkeeper of his friend’s fate. He immediately went to the ditch, where he found the German sleeping in the snow. The victim was rescued by mountain rescue efforts and taken to the valley, where the person, believed to be hypothermic, refused further medical care.
