Bizarre operation for police in the Elisabeth-Vorstadt district of Salzburg: A drunken cyclist fled from a patrol and hid in a large garbage container.
The 24-year-old Ukrainian was noticed by a patrol crew because he was very insecure and wavy. The cyclist ignored attempts to stop – he eventually fled on foot from the officers.
After the Ukrainian apparently initially disappeared, a passerby gave the officials the crucial clue. The drunk lay on his back in a large dumpster and couldn’t get out because he was under the influence of alcohol.
The police officers helped the alcoholic cyclist, who vomited several times during the official act, out of the trash and performed an alcohol test. The result: 1.44 per thousand.
