During the fire on Tuesday afternoon in a pig breeding farm in Neuruppersdorf in the Mistelbach district (Lower Austria), one of several stables burned down completely. Passing drivers probably raised the alarm in time, but for a number of animals all help came too late. The “Krone” has the first tragic details.
The solidarity in the town of Neuruppersdorf in the northern Weinviertel with almost 500 inhabitants was admirable: a fire broke out in a pig farm for unknown reasons. Because the company is located a few hundred meters outside the city, the fire was able to spread unnoticed in one of the buildings for the time being. However, observant motorists saw that the smoke column was developing and alerted the fire brigade.
