120 Floriani young people from the area rushed to a fire operation on Arlbergstrasse in Bregenz on Wednesday morning. An empty wooden house caught fire.
When the first firefighters arrived, the first floor of the old wooden house was already on fire. The house has not been occupied for years. According to the fire brigade, there is a strong suspicion that several unknown persons entered the building and spent the night there from Tuesday to Wednesday. They too could have caused the fire.
The people who may have caused the fire were no longer in the building when rescuers arrived. Apparently no one was injured.
In addition to the Bregenz fire brigade, the Florianijünger from Wolfurt also responded to get the flames and smoke under control. Even after the lunch break, they and the other emergency services were still on site. Due to the operation, Arlbergstrasse is closed to traffic and is being diverted.
