An incident occurred in an apartment between a 43-year-old and his 48-year-old friend, which led to a physical altercation.

Two friends got into an argument in an apartment in Vienna-Favoriten on Wednesday afternoon. During the argument, the 43-year-old allegedly pulled out a knife to threaten his older friend. Given this situation, the 48-year-old left the apartment and immediately alerted the police.

The police responded quickly and temporarily arrested the suspected perpetrator. As a preventive measure, the 43-year-old was banned from entering and approaching the building, as well as a temporary weapons ban. An alcohol test carried out showed a blood alcohol level of 3.42.

The murder weapon could not be found. Despite the stressful circumstances, the suspect denied any guilt during interrogation. He was released on the orders of the Viennese public prosecutor’s office.
