The former president of the EU Committee Romano Prodi (85) was completely burned. And that only because a matter of an Italian journalist has raised him.
The 85-year-old, who was also two Italian heads of the government, should actually have better nerves in view of his life experience. On a video that has now been published, it is clear to see how the center-left politician of the woman, who is confronted with a microphone, puts his hand in his hair and easily picks it.
Earlier, journalist Lavina Oreefici, who works for private broadcaster LA7, had asked him a question about a current dispute about Italian European policy. Prodi answered her: “What the hell do you ask me? Do you have a feeling of history or not?” To do this, he waved his hands wildly.
That was not enough, Prodi then denied the incident and claimed that he had only put her hand on the woman. Orreefics did not fought against touching the interview. Later she explained that she had never experienced anything like this in her professional. The 85-year-old justified himself at an appointment in Brussels with the words: “Time knew a lot of things. People confuse affection with aggression.” There was no apology from him.
There is a lot of criticism
The right -wing government parties of Italy are upset. But Prodi has also caused problems in their own camp. The social -democratic politician Jasmine Cristallo slept on: there was no justification for such behavior. Other opposition politicians were behind him. Journalist Associations held the former chairman of the Extraordinary Limits committee with such behavior.
Prodi led the EU committee from 1999 to 2004. Between 1996 and 1998 and 2006 and 2008 he was an Italian Prime Minister. He was considered an important opponent of the several head of the Silvio Berlusconi government.
