“Road Rage” – we are already familiar with street violence. But now things seem to be getting bolder on the slopes. Such as in the Grasgehren ski area, directly above the border with Bavaria (D). On Sunday, an 18-year-old snowboarder panicked and hit another winter sports enthusiast with his sports equipment.
According to Bavarian police, the incident was caused by a near collision between a child and an 18-year-old snowboarder. When the child’s father spoke to the snowboarder immediately after the incident, the snowboarder completely panicked.
Man hit by snowboard
The teen took off his snowboard and hit the father of the family with the board and his fists. However, he was able to fend off the attack and wrestle the snowboarder to the ground. When the snowboarder’s father arrived, the situation calmed down.
Pain for both parties involved
When the police subsequently recorded the incident, both participants complained of pain that required outpatient treatment. Further police investigation into this case is still ongoing.
