After Zelensky’s visit: cyber attack on Swiss government websites

One day after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Swiss government websites were targeted by a hacker attack.

The Federal Cybersecurity Office (Bacs) said the pro-Russian hacker group “NoName” claimed responsibility for the attack. The group justified the attack with Zelensky’s visit to Davos, Switzerland.

DDoS overload attack
According to the information, the attack was a so-called DDoS attack. These are intended to overload internet servers. According to the Federal Office, the attack was quickly spotted and expected. Several government and government websites were temporarily unavailable. But since this afternoon everything is working again.

Zelenskyj was at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Tuesday. The Ukrainian president called on the West to supply more weapons to defend itself in the war against Russia.
