Three young people (11, 13 and 16) were injured in a room fire in Graz Puntigam on Wednesday afternoon. A pot filled with oil had started to burn.
On Wednesday evening, the professional fire brigade of Graz had to go to the apartment of a 16-year-old in the Brauquartier district, Puntigam. A pot filled with oil was left on the stove and caught fire. When we arrived, smoke was already coming from the windows on the first floor and three young people had fled to the balcony.
The teens were taken to the hospital
The 16-year-old resident, a 13-year-old from Graz and an eleven-year-old from Graz suffered injuries of an unknown nature. They were rescued from the balcony and taken to hospital where they were diagnosed with smoke poisoning.
The professional fire brigade of Graz was on duty with five vehicles and 23 men. The extent of the damage is now the subject of ongoing investigation.
