EH Bildu, the group that negotiates the budgets of the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council with PNV and PSE-EE, has called an urgent press conference for next Thursday at 10:30 am in which its spokesperson, Rocío Vitero, will appear.
PSE-EE and PNV, parties supporting the municipal council of Vitoria-Gasteiz as a minority, have reached an agreement agreement with EH Bildu to put forward budgets This year, the legislature’s first budgets have been confirmed, municipal sources have confirmed.
This pact comes after the coalition’s lehendakari candidate on Wednesday, Otxandiano hairadmitted that there were possibilities to conclude an agreement and that PP and Elkarrekin rejected this possibility.
The three formations have performed one intensive negotiation in recent days, when even the mayor, the socialist Maider Etxebarria, admitted a week ago that the budget extension was “increasingly feasible”.
EH Bildu presented amendments worth EUR 12 million and formulated in five blocks: improving care for the elderly, allocating social housing at affordable rents, promoting employment and revitalizing commercial properties, accelerating the energy transition with energy communities and sustainable mobility, and renovating the Iradier Arena.
EH Bildu convened a press conference this morning to announce the scope of this pact.
