Currently, more than 1,000 employees are working in the ORF center on Küniglberg. On Tuesday, they all received bad news. Due to “selective vermin infestation,” the canteen had to be closed and from Wednesday, moderator Armin Wolf and Co. will be assured of an emergency supply of the most important meals.
In the middle of the final election campaign, Austrian parties and the ORF are still dealing with hacker attacks. The ORF is also struggling with other ‘internal’ problems.
“Selective pest infestation”
ORF bosses addressed their employees with “great regret” on Tuesday. In an internal letter to their colleagues, they informed them that “the kitchen, the canteen and the work café must be closed immediately because local pests have been detected and we generally do not take any risks.”
Starting Wednesday, we want to try to “guarantee the emergency supply of the most important meals” for stars like Armin Wolf and Co. together with the tenant. Employees should be informed about this separately. It is also made clear: “We apologize for the circumstances that are not attributable to the ORF.”
