Since January 15, Karl R.’s family has been desperately searching for the 88-year-old, who suffered from dementia. Since Thursday it has been a sad certainty. A 35-year-old found the pensioner’s body in a densely overgrown strip of grass – just two kilometers from his home in Upper Austria.
On the afternoon of January 15, 88-year-old demented Leondinger did not come home from a walk and did not show up again until the evening. At night, with snowfall and temperatures down to minus four degrees, which felt much colder due to the wind, the helpers were on the road for many hours. But the search was fruitless.
They continued to search and the family hoped until the end that Karl R. had gone somewhere by bus. But now all hope is gone.
Body found in Pasching
A 35-year-old from Pasching found the body of the 88-year-old on Thursday around 4:30 PM on a difficult and overgrown green strip between noise barrier B1 and his yard – about two kilometers from his house.
Unfortunately, the emergency doctor could only determine death. Negligence of third parties can be excluded.
