Tragedy in Styria: After a head-on collision on the Krottendorf ring road, a two-month-old baby died at the scene of the accident on Friday evening. A 27-year-old was flown to the LKH in Graz with life-threatening injuries.
The serious traffic accident took place on Friday evening shortly before 6 p.m. on the B70 ring road in Krottendorf.
There, for unknown reasons, a car collided head-on with a truck. According to the emergency call, a woman was trapped in the vehicle and a lifeless baby was also reported by emergency responders.
Large-scale operation after an accident
Three ambulances, an emergency vehicle, an emergency helicopter and the police and fire brigade were immediately called to the scene.
After arrival, the emergency services immediately took care of the trapped 27-year-old and the lifeless child. Unfortunately, attempts to resuscitate the two-month-old baby were unsuccessful.

At the same time, the seriously injured motorist was freed from the wreckage – she also had to be resuscitated. The woman was then flown to LKH Graz in a critical condition.
The truck driver was transported to UKH Graz with injuries of an unknown nature.
