In a care facility in Judenburg, Upper Styria, a dispute escalated this weekend: a mentally disabled 31-year-old injured a housemate (32) in the neck with a kitchen knife. The suspect was arrested.
The bloody incident happened on Saturday evening. Between 9:30 PM and 10:30 PM, the 31-year-old Styrian allegedly entered his opponent’s room and attacked him with a kitchen knife.
The victim suffered deep cuts
According to police, the 32-year-old suffered a cut about four centimeters long and about two and a half centimeters deep on the neck. The seriously injured victim was treated as an outpatient at the LKH Judenburg.
The 31-year-old was arrested and taken to Leoben prison. He confessed to the crime. According to the police, both the perpetrator and the victim are mentally handicapped.
