In the middle of the night, the sauna of a holiday home in Wald im Pinzgau (Salzburg) caught fire. Not all guests noticed the fire and the fire brigade had to get some of them to safety. No one was injured.
The Floriani received an emergency call from Wald-Königsleiten in the middle of the night: Sauna on fire! The wooden sauna was burning on the ground floor of a holiday home. The residents of the holiday apartment noticed the fire and fled to safety.
No injuries
Guests in the other apartments were unaware of the fire and the fire brigade had to evacuate them. No one was injured.
Large contingent of emergency services
Fortunately, the fire in the affected apartment on the ground floor was largely self-extinguished. A respiratory protection team removed part of the burned sauna and prevented the fire from igniting again. The holiday guests were able to return to their apartments. The residents of the affected apartment on the ground floor have moved to another living space. There were 23 firefighters present.
