Israel said special forces killed three Palestinian militants hiding in a West Bank hospital on Tuesday night. Video footage from the hospital in the city of Jenin showed Israeli special forces entering the clinic, some disguised as medical staff, to locate the men.
Surveillance camera video circulated on the Internet showed about a dozen members of an Israeli special forces unit, three of them wearing women’s clothing and two of them dressed as medical personnel. Armed with guns, they marched down a hospital corridor. The video was also published by the Israeli Ministry of Police on the online platform X (formerly Twitter). The Palestinian Health Ministry condemned the attack and called for international protection for medical facilities in the West Bank.
Massacre planned “as on October 7”.
The wanted men, a Hamas member and two extremists with ties to Islamic Jihad, reportedly came from the refugee district of the city of Jenin, considered a stronghold for Palestinian militants. The 27-year-old Hamas member was involved in several attacks on Israeli soldiers and planned an attack “inspired by the October 7 massacre.” He also had connections to the Hamas leadership abroad. The Army’s information has not yet been independently verified.
According to Palestinian information, one of the men was injured in an Israeli drone strike in October. He has since been treated in hospital. The other two men, one of whom was his brother, were with him during the Israeli mission. The Palestinian Health Ministry condemned the attack and called for international protection for medical facilities in the West Bank. Israel accuses militant Palestinian organizations of misusing medical supplies and ambulances for military purposes.
