On Thursday evening, a man collided head-on with an oncoming car. He was so seriously injured that he died in hospital the next day.
A 68-year-old died the day of his injuries following a head-on collision in the Amstetten district, which according to the police he apparently caused himself.
Second driver barely injured
According to the police, the man was driving his car from Salaberg to Rijksweg 42 in the municipality of The Hague on Thursday evening around 11:30 PM, when he crossed the center lines. He crashed into the oncoming car of a 70-year-old.
The 68-year-old was seriously injured and taken to Steyr Hospital after being treated by an emergency doctor. He died there on Thursday. The 70-year-old escaped with minor injuries and did not seek medical attention.
