Cassidy Kraus (24) had just returned from her honeymoon and was arrested. She had seduced several students aged 13 and 14.
The principal of IKM Manning School in Davenport immediately called police when several students reported that Kraus had sent sexually explicit images and videos to other classmates via Snapchat.
The investigation began. It soon emerged that the English teacher had shown 13-year-old pornographic material in the spring of 2023 and had “touched his genitals” after school – according to the Public Prosecution Service.
“Repeated sexual acts”
Kraus also allegedly committed “repeated sexual acts” with two other 14-year-old students. The 24-year-old teacher, who is free on $10,000 bail, had now struck a deal with prosecutors.
Because she had been threatened with life imprisonment for three charges of child rape, she now pleaded guilty to three charges of sexual abuse and distributing obscene material to children. The sex timpanist risks a maximum prison sentence of 33 years.
Kraus not only lost her job, she also had to register as a sex offender for the rest of her life. Her new husband filed for divorce a few days after the arrest.
