Sirens sounded – fire in Kufstein printing house called fire brigade

Date:

Sirens sounded in the Tyrolean town of Kufstein around 12.30 pm on Thursday. A fire broke out in a commercial building on Stuttgarter Strasse. The emergency services of the fire brigade had a major challenge in fighting the fire.

Shortly after noon, dark smoke rose into the sky in Kufstein. The fire in a printing house was visible from afar. The fire brigade responded with 33 emergency services and five vehicles. An emergency medical team and several police patrols were also on site.

Thanks to the quick intervention of the Floriani youth, the fire was extinguished within a short time. However, the heavy smoke made the operation more difficult.

A defective printer is the cause
No one was injured in the fire. However, the material damage is likely to be significant. According to the police, initial investigations into the cause of the fire show that a technical defect in a CO-2 printer is likely responsible for the fire.
