The European Union calls for a swift solution to Iran’s seizure of two Greek tankers

The European Union (EU) this Sunday requested a “quick” clarification and resolution of last Friday’s “seizure” of two Greek tankers by Iran in the Persian Gulf.

The spokesperson for the European External Action Service, Peter Stanoexplained that community authorities had “immediately” contacted the Iranians to declare it was an “attack”, to express their “great concern” and to “promptly clear, resolve and reduce tension” in the Persian Gulf to ask.
