Unions from the coordinated organizations and employers will meet this Friday to negotiate an agreement on the agreement

Date:

The bargaining table has a new appointment for the Labor Relations Board to try to move forward in negotiations on the agreement that affects almost 9,000 workers.

The trade unions ELA, LAB, Steilas, CC. OO. and UGT meet today with employers’ associations Kristau Eskola and AIZE to renegotiate the agreement on teaching social initiative, which expired in December 2021.

The meeting was convened by Kristau Eskola and will take place today at 12:30 pm at the headquarters of the Labor Relations Council in Bilbao.

The last meeting took place on January 16 and could not avoid the last five days of strike in the coordinated centers in January.

The Social Initiative’s education centers in the Basque Country employ almost 9,000 employees in more than 200 centers and serve approximately 120,000 male and female students.

The families hope this new meeting will serve to avoid the five days of strike called for in February. Specifically, there are strikes on the 6th, 7th and 8th and also on the 19th and 20th.
