The Schwaz city fire brigade had to complete an unusual mission on Friday morning. Carbon monoxide leaked into an apartment due to a faulty furnace. Several parties had to be evacuated. Two seniors ended up in the hospital.
Because her husband (89) complained that she was not feeling well, a local woman (85) from Schwaz called the emergency services shortly after 6 a.m. When emergency services arrived, they likely discovered that the complaints had a rather unusual origin: a faulty furnace.

They quickly contacted the city fire brigade. Moments later they evacuated 13 people from the apartment building. The eight apartments were then ventilated. “The residents were able to return to their apartment after ventilation,” the police said. For the elderly couple who called rescue, the mission ended in the hospital.
