Next Sunday, another absolute super round of Lotto “6 out of 45” is on the program, because this one gets eight numbers. Because Wednesday for the seventh time in a row no sixes fell, it is a sevenfold jackpot and no less than 10 million euros is expected for the six correct numbers.
In 38 years of the lottery, this is only the fifth round in which a double-digit million dollar amount is at stake.
The record for a solo six is 14.9 million euros
And only one win of this dimension appears in the winners list: this is the solo six that a Lower Austrian scored in the first ever seven-fold jackpot, winning the previous record amount of 14.9 million euros. All other super rounds with eight-figure wins ended with multiple sixes.
Two players bet a fiver with an extra number on Wednesday and each received around 119,000 euros. One of them comes from Lower Austria, one from Upper Austria. Both were successful with normal notes.
The LottoPlus draw also ended without sixes. This meant that the 103 winners of a five-way series enjoyed higher odds. The winnings were divided among them, with each receiving almost €6,000. The LottoPlus six in the next round is worth €500,000.
On Wednesday, the Joker jackpot was won twice. Two Lower Austrians had the correct joker number on their betting slips and won approximately 253,000 euros each.
