Continuation provoked – Kremlin: “US makes Ukrainians die”

Date:

The Kremlin is convinced that the US government is contributing to a continuation of the war in Ukraine. “The Americans are causing more pain to Ukrainians, and the Americans are causing more Ukrainians to die,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

The US government is participating directly in the conflict, provoking its continuation and becoming increasingly entangled in it. But that won’t change the outcome of the war, Peskov said. The Russian government repeatedly says that many deaths are due to the West helping the Ukrainian army defend itself.

Reciprocal drone strikes
Mutual drone and missile attacks were again reported on Saturday evening. There was damage to infrastructure objects. “A fire broke out in the Volgograd oil refinery as a result of the crash of a downed drone,” the governor of the affected Russian region, Andrei Bocharov, said in Telegram on Saturday. The flames were quickly brought under control. There were no deaths or injuries.

According to its own statement, the Russian Defense Ministry shot down a total of seven drones, mainly on the border with Ukraine. The other side reported fourteen drones and two missiles on Saturday evening. The attacks mainly targeted energy infrastructure in Dnipropetrovsk.

Fires, power outages
Although the military said nine drones had been intercepted, two fires broke out. “Nearly 15,000 people in the region are without electricity, as well as two thermal power plants in Kryvy Rih that served 43,000 people,” military governor Serhiy Lyssak reported. The tram in the big city has partially broken down and several households currently have no water.
