As already reported, there was an argument between several men in the vicinity of the Handelskai S-Bahn stop on Sunday evening. A 19-year-old allegedly threatened two Syrian men (23, 28) with a knife.
The argument between the opponents escalated when they threw stones at each other. The situation then moved to the entrance of the shopping center, where the 28-year-old allegedly attacked the 19-year-old with pepper spray. The 19-year-old then fled to Millennium City.
Several passers-by called the police emergency number because of the events and said they also heard shots. The police were able to stop the three men. The 19-year-old and the 28-year-old received emergency medical care from the emergency medical services in Vienna. The 28-year-old had to be taken to a hospital.
Blade secured
The 19-year-old was temporarily arrested, but was later released – like the other two. The knife with which he allegedly threatened the two men has been confiscated. The pepper spray that the 28-year-old allegedly used could not be found.
No firearm or blank pistol was found at the scene. The witnesses who claimed to have heard shots could also not be located.
