There were probably wild scenes in a bar in St. Anton am Arlberg on Sunday evening! There, two groups of British holidaymakers clashed. Moments later, the situation on the street escalated. In addition to punches and kicks, a 29-year-old Briton had the tip of his nose bitten off by a previously unknown person.
Sunday evening will probably remain in the memory of several Britons in St. Anton for a long time. First there was a fight between men from two groups of holidaymakers in a bar. One person was reportedly injured and left the restaurant with two friends shortly after 8 p.m.
A little later, some members of the other group also left the restaurant heading east. The two colleagues of the already injured man chased the men and eventually attacked them unexpectedly with violent punches and kicks.
Tip of nose bitten off
“A fight took place between the people, during which one of the attackers, a 29-year-old British man, had the tip of his nose bitten off by one of the unknown men,” police said. The villains then split up. The attackers fled towards the pedestrian area.
After initial treatment, the 29-year-old was taken to the hospital in Zams and then to the hospital in Innsbruck. “An immediately started search for the suspects has so far been negative,” the investigators say.
