According to the report from consultancy LKS Next, the jobs with the biggest wage increases in 2023 were those related to engineering, computer science and higher education in mechatronics.
Profiles related to information and communication technologies (ICT) and industrial engineering remain the most in demand and best paid among companies in the BAC. Specifically, the most sought-after profiles are project managers in industrial companies, R&D technicians, electronic technicians, Key Account Manager (the professional responsible for managing a company’s key accounts), purchasing management or computer analysts.
The advisory group LKS next today in Bilbao presented the sixth edition of the Euskadi Salary Guide, which collects data on gross fixed remuneration over the past year from almost 90 typical professional profiles in the Basque Country. The document contains information about the rewardbut also the characteristics and required capabilities. It is notable, among other things, that people with an industrial engineering degree, as well as profiles related to new information technologies, are once again registering salary increases above average.
The guide includes an average fixed gross salary of between 267,289 euros (plus a percentage of up to 23% variable return) for positions such as general management, up to 25,432 euros for administrative assistants. Between these two categories, located at the ends of the collected sample, are positions such as doctor with 52,337 euros gross per year; cloud engineer, €49,003; computer systems analyst, €48,177; product technician, €46,584; researcher, €38,322; and 3rd production officer, €26,199.
In this morning’s presentation of the guide, the Director of LKS Next’s People Consulting area said, Other Sansineneahighlighted that last year “salaries in the Basque Country rose significantly above the CPI in 2023, compensating for the loss of purchasing power in previous years.” Similarly, he has emphasized on the ‘need to implement in organizations the so-called ‘Sustainable relationship concept’That is, strategies where people’s motivational elements outweigh strictly rewarding elements, as has happened so far.
Another key, he said, isI telecommute. “Basque professionals who can telework are increasingly receiving offers to telework with salaries from countries of origin such as Denmark or the United States,” he noted.
