It is an idyllic place, a place to spend a holiday. We are talking about the Obergraferhof in Innervillgraten, near East Tyrol. But a state of emergency has been in effect for days in the nature reserve, which is surrounded by massive and rocky mountains. “It all started on January 23. During the day, the first stones came loose from the mountain and fell into the stream behind our farm,” says farmer Albrecht Ortner, who farms there with his mother Elisabeth (86) and offers holidays on the farm.
