The suspect is suspected of involvement in a terrorist organization. He was arrested shortly after the attack in central Vienna, which killed four people and injured 23, some seriously. As well as eleven other people who are said to be in the jihadist environment.
Church Writings Discovered
It could not be proven that the accused had participated in the attack. But according to the indictment, he is supposed to glorify jihad. Writings have also been found by a preacher about him who, according to an expert report, is considered “number one among IS in Turkey”. These writings are also said to have been sold through an internet point of sale. Just like mugs with IS flags or chocolate bars with the emblem of the terrorist organization.
The defendant, defended by Florian Kreiner, admits that the devotional objects clearly attributable to IS were sold. He denies the jihadist stance. Some of the writings found about him were freely available.
