The Tyrolean fire brigade was called out on Thursday evening to extinguish a fire on the Inntal motorway. A heavy vehicle was on fire. The fire caused a total blockage of the motorway towards Innsbruck.
Shortly before 20:30 the alarm call came in via the control room of the fire brigade Kramsach and Brixlegg. On the A12 Inntal motorway near the town of Kramsach a truck was on fire.
The truck driver was able to steer the vehicle onto the hard shoulder. According to initial information, the driver was probably not injured. The fire probably started in the driver’s cabin. The cause of the fire had not yet been determined.
To extinguish the fire, the motorway towards Innsbruck between Wörgl and Kramsach had to be temporarily closed.
