Last Sunday evening things got wild in St. Anton am Arlberg, the “Krone” reported. First in a bar and later on the street, two groups of holidaymakers from England clashed. A 29-year-old even had the tip of his nose bitten off. The suspected perpetrators could now be identified.
According to police, the two groups clashed around 8 p.m. One person was injured in the altercation. Shortly afterwards, the victim left the bar with two friends, followed shortly after by the other group. The injured man’s friends then followed the men from the other group.
“A fight took place between the people, during which one of the attackers, a 29-year-old British man, had the tip of his nose bitten off by one of the unknown men,” police said. The attackers fled and the 29-year-old was taken to hospital. A search for the perpetrators initially failed.
Taken to prison
However, the police could now report a success: “Based on extensive surveys and tips from the public, three British holiday guests – aged 50, 50 and 67 – were identified as the perpetrators. The 50-year-old main perpetrator was arrested on the orders of the Innsbruck Public Prosecutor’s Office and taken to Innsbruck prison.
